After all the late night bombing missions over the past couple of days we decided to take a chill pill for the night and get wasted with the MTS boys over at Chefs to celebrate. Cheap Kronenburg beer for .58 euros, good food, good vibes, good people equals GOOD TIMES.
Each mission seems to get harder and harder by the night. With only having the car rented for 2 nights we had to smash our spots one night after another. Our last mission was already draining enough staying up till the early morning hours of 9am just to bench the flicks. But it’s all good. That’s why we came to Europe for right? To smash the fuck out of it?
Our next objective was to get some whole cars out in the suburbs of Paris. After getting lost on the freeways and arriving at our spot late we quickly started painting and had a lil bit of time left before we heard extra footsteps on the other side of the tracks! Can we say, “Putain Mec?!” Here we go again with another sprint across the tracks to go hide, but this time with a kitchen chair on one hand (Needed it to reach to the top of the train.) and 2 bags of paint on the other. We were still able to finish our pieces and escape security once again, but godamn these missions are becoming more like a workout program with Billy Blanks or some shit! Mission Accomplished.
After the close call that we had the other day I was scared to see what was in store for us in the upcoming days. All that running and hiding from security guards and cops is fun and all, but fuuuck I think I’m getting a little too old for this shit! Smoking a pack of cigarettes a day doesn’t help too much with the running either. However we were rest assured by our French Connection that we would have several hours to paint the end to end tonight. He said, “Tonight mec we have a barbecue.” Stocked up on paint and a rent-a-car we were on our way. Upon arriving to the spot we quickly searched inside the trains for any hidden cops. (I guess sometimes they just chill out in the trains and wait for writers?) After the coast was clear we quickly started painting. After painting for about a good 1.5 hours and applying the finishing touches to our piece we were greeted with nice blue lights and the sound of the train engine starting. Fawwwwkkk! We just grabbed our shit and bounced. We were like mice running all over the place when the lights turn on in the kitchen and not knowing where to go. It was pretty hilarious actually.
Oh wait, this gets better. After painting the 4 end to ends we had to go bench them before they got buffed! So this meant driving back to the center of Paris for 2 hours and staying awake till the early morning hours for the train to stop by one of the main stations and taking the flicks. Can we way, “No Sleeeeeepp?” Putain Mec! I think that I’m good on the clean trains scene for a good minute.

In order for writers to keep painting clean trains throughout Europe without being under the police radarthey have to use what is called a “Phantom Blaze”. A “Phantom Blaze” pronounced “Phantom Blahz” is basically a fake name. European writers go through different names so that the police can’t pinpoint them to just one name if they ever get caught. For our next mission the whole squad (RICKS, ALSO, PARKS) decided to go under the phantom blaze of “West Coast Killaz”. We were in somewhat of a friendly battle between the Parisians so we wanted to come up with something ill as fuck that represented all of us out in the USA. We decided upon getting down on a double decker train with an end to end that had a beach scene with walls and tombstones using western fonts. Here are some of the sketches that we came up with. Let’s see if we’ll be able to make this happen…

First things first. The spot that we wanted to hit was about 1.5 hours away from the center of Paris and since we don’t have a vehicle and none of our friends do either, we decided to rent one. Baaaad moooveee. Can we say BALLIN?! The car cost 230 Euros to rent for 3 days and 2 nights. That’s equivalent to $359. Wow, that’s not even counting the paint that we needed to get over at POLYMEX. Which cost an additional 150 Euros aka $234 worth of Montana paint. Let’s see. Let’s do some math. That makes it about a good $593 for an end to end car?! Yo someone call up MONTANA and sponsor a nugguh would yah? This shit better be worth it…
It looks like someone under the screename of Babar has been keeping track of our progress in Europe and posted our pics of the METRO we hit in the web forum section of 90BPM.com. From what I know 90BPM (90 Beats Per Minute) is a website for music heads that also has a shitload of graffiti content. They even have a graffiti forum that’s somewhat similiar to ours except it’s a French version. Does anyone know French? And if so, can you let us know what they’re saying in the forum?
Painting all night, coming home around 9am on an average and eating sparingly has been taking it’s toll on the body. With all that aside, we were still able to muster up enough energy to catch another passenger train within the outskirts of Paris. Sneaking into the spot wasn’t as easy as we thought it was. We spent a good 40 minutes scoping the spot out trying to figure out ways to get inside while avoiding the cleaners and security guards at the same time. After getting our paint situated inside the station we quickly started handling biz and had 20 to 30 minutes before security did their walk through on the trains. Halfway in between painting we were interrupted by 2 security guards and hid from them while watching them walk right passed us. Can we say, “Close Call”? I’m surprised that they didn’t smell the paint. After the coast was clear we just finished up our shit, took the pics and bounced the fuck out. As you can see we forgot a couple of highlights and lines in our pieces.
Last night we got superfaded off some brews and decided to go paint in the early morning hours. We originally wanted to catch this truck that was parked but it left before we had the chance to hit it! LAME. So to our disappointment we just walked around town and caught these throwups on some shutters. Right when we finished our last line spraying the METRO cleaners rolled up to pick up some trash right by the spot and didn’t even have a clue. “Now you see me. Now you don’t.” – Ghostface Killah
ALSO and RICKS caught a truck in one of the districts of Paris last night with a 6+ color burner. Shit was pretty chill besides dodging taxis and buses. Other than that it was pretty smooth sailing. Hopefully this truck will be seen running around town.
Sorry for jumping around from spot to spot. I try to keep the blog entries as consistent as possible but I forgot that I had some some pictures of a skatepark that we hit a couple of days back in Rome, Italy. It’s called The Spot. It costs 5 Euros to skate all day and is lit up till the late night hours. It’s right by the beach and has lots of graffiti walls, as well as some sick skateboarding obstacles. (Who said skateboarding and graffiti don’t go together again?) The only complaint that I had was that the park was actually built a lil too much like the X-Games. I’m not the tranny type skater so it was pretty hard to skate all the shit that was there. I just stuck with the euro bump, mini-ramp, box and the pyramid. The best part of the day was that we had the whole park to ourselves.

CARPE DIEM (I guess that 3 weeks ago the skatepark had a graffiti competition involving various artists around Europe painting the best piece with the words “Carpe Diem”. That’s probably why alot of the pieces below say “Carpe Diem” on them.)
