If you’ve been keeping up with the progress of our crew lately then you might have already seen these photos surfacing around on our Myspace Profile. About 2 weeks ago we took some photos of our new Fall/Winter 08 Collection for an upcoming catalog/lookbook that will be released in the near future.
Here is a sneak peek of our latest board collaboration with SEVER MSK over at The Loss Prevention. They should be available some time in about 2 months. (No exact release date to be announced as of yet.) The sizes that are available will be our standard board sizes: 7.625’s, 7.75’s, & 8’s. SEVER took a different approach in doing the graphics for his board. Instead of having a graffiti piece he opted in producing an actual skateboard graphic with full colors and a theme to it. I can’t leak out too much info on the graphic until the boards are actually produced but I’ll let you in on a little secret. The cap of the Red Rustoleum Cans that you see below will also be available in Tool Grey & Sunburst Yellow.
Guess what just arrived on our doorsteps just a couple of minutes ago? They’ll be available in our ONLINE SHOP in a couple of weeks so stay tuned OR you can also get these for FREE by ordering an EXTINGUISHER t-shirt over here. All lighters will be included on the first 25 orders. So far there’s only been about 3 so there’s another 22 slots available! Otherwise these will be going for $5 shipped anywhere in the USA. Gotta get back to that Call Of Duty 4 right quick!
The heads over at HB Speed have been beta testing BockChoy’s Evo X lately by “reflashing” the ECU with various maps and running DYNO tests. Keep in mind that the Evo X is still fairly new with very limited aftermarket parts per say your 92-98 Honda! I was told that we were 1 of 5 heads that are using this technology at the moment.
Here are some of the mods:
- Perrin FMIC
- Nisei 1 piece UICP
- AEM intake
- Everything else bone stock (motor wise)
- No Timing Adjustments, only Boost & Fuel. Boost is set to 23psi.
We should be getting the new T1R exhaust soon (if it ever comes out) and go back for more tuning with timing adjustments as well. This Dyno reads a stock Evo X at 254 whp, If you can’t read dyno sheets BockChoy ended up with 321whp and 320lbs tq with a smooth powerband on basic bolt-ons and reflash! The dyno sheet is in reference to a Protuned Stage 2 STI that makes 280-290whp on the same dyno.
For anyone that’s not into the import racing scene then let me give you a comparison of how ridiculous this is. An average racer can put down about $3,000-$7,000 into a Honda Civic just to get about 250whp, if that. We just spent about $2,000-$2,500 to get 321whp. You can do the math. Any Stage 4 STI’s wanna get down? Hahaha!
You’ve probably already seen this video on YouTube or on your favorite blog sites throughout the internet already but we’re reposting it again for those that might have missed it. This video features the “Wassup Boys” from the early to mid 90’s Budweiser commercials. Remember them? Waassssuuuuuppp! The video shows the original commercial as well as a spin-off, 8 years afterwards during an economic crisis while the world is at war. Pretty clever and funny idea. We need CHANGE!
Since the successful release of our Extinguisher t-shirt just a couple of weeks ago we decided to step it up with some Custom BIC lighters to include into each t-shirt purchase FREE for the first 25 orders. These will be entitled the “Fire Extinguisher Pack“. (Our apologies for all of the heads that have ordered beforehand.) The lighter will have graphics on both sides and will be available for purchase through our ONLINE SHOP for $5 SHIPPED in the following weeks.
Edison High School in Huntington Beach, California use to have some buttery ledges. Unfortunately for us they are no longer skateable. They were recently knobbed. The only thing that you can skate here is the stage with an awkward bump off the 5 stairs? Made for skating maybe? Who knows. But this spot is another RIP spot in the records books unless someone deknobs them and bondo’s the ledges clean. Knobbed Life.
