Our good friends over at JSLV will be holding an event tonight at the SHORE Ultra Lounge in Long Beach, CA. If you’re in the Long Beach area and have some free time then make sure to stop by and check it out. Guaranteed good times.
Rio Mesa High School has 2, knee high, back to back ledges that are lined up under the Cafeteria area of the school that alot of skaters have filmed in videos. One of the more recent and recognizable tricks done on it was probably Mike-Mo’s line with a Nosegrind 180 to Switch Backside Tailslide to 270 Shove It Out in the LAKAI(?) video. The ledges are currently extremely chunky at its current state but Vinny Lopez was still able to catch a 2 trick line (First Try) that’s going to be posted on our upcoming Clip Of The Week (COTW).

On our way down to skate Ventura/Oxnard for the second weekend in a row we stopped by BAM BAM Weenies located out in Ventura, California near the Ventura Harbor National Park. BAM BAM Weenies is a family owned and operated hot dog stand that specializes in hot dogs. If you’re ever around in the Ventura area it’s definitely worth checkin out and purchasing a combo meal for $5 which includes a Jumbo Sized Hot Dog with Chips and a Drink. I don’t think that you can find a better deal than that in any harbor for that price.

Tonight the Mid-City Arts Gallery located out in Los Angeles will announce their first solo show by Los Angeles’ King Chaka One LOD (Loks On Dope). Anyone that was around LA in the late 80s and early 90s is more than familiar with CHAKA and his infamous tags that literally covered throughout California from Orange County to Los Angeles, down to the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. Check out the trailer below for more information or visit the website HERE.
Opening: Saturday April 25, 2009 7-9PM Mid-City Arts

Located out in Oxnard (Not Ventura) is a spot called the Inglis Pet Hotel where there is a 4-5ft bank that you can roll up from a sidewalk, grind and roll back down onto the street. This past weekend we rounded up the “Dirty 30 Club” heads to get our skate on.

Right across the street from the bank is a huge loading trailer type of thing. You can do your Nosegrind Pop-Out Transfers from grinding the side of it.
Mike Santarossa & Tony Tieu
Right after this miscalculated Frontside Tailslide his board happened to sneak into that little hole we call a sewer.
Need to lock them shits son!
Ohboyee

The first one up to bat to try to get the board was Mr. Tony Tieu. Ummm, sorry Tony but that little plastic thing you have there isn’t going to open up the manhole.
On our second attempt we found a larger sized Allen wrench thinking that we could pry it out. No luck.
3rd up to bat was Mr. Santarossa & Adriano. See what some tree branches and random wood pieces you find in the street can do for you?
BINGO! Time to shred again, but this time let’s make sure that it doesn’t happen again.
Remember when we painted 5 Pointz just a couple of weeks ago and mentioned that some woman fell down the stairs leading up towards the roof of the building? Well guess who was up all over the news? You can even watch the full length video HERE.
You’re probably wondering why in the fuck do we have a fixed gear video on a skateboarding site? Well as you can see from the beginning screenshot, we caught BGP’s all over this one. Perfect Product Placement…
