Cam Caddie – Burbank, CA

February 8, 2010 | Filed Under Skateboarding | No Comments

If you haven’t noticed, it was raining cats and dogs over here in California this past weekend .  Rain with a combination of skateboarding withdrawals for several weeks calls for desperate measures.  Daniel over at the Cam Caddie headquarters in Burbank recently cleared out 1/2 of his warehouse to make a funbox and 2 quarter pipes and was nice enough to let 8+ of us to come by and skate.  I guess that you can call it our own little “The BerRICKS“.

For anyone who doesn’t know who or what Cam Caddie is (including myself), they are producers of a handheld steadicam for video cameras and DLSR cameras.  Attached with an OWLE iPhone accessory you can basically film fisheye-styled skate/snow/bmx videos with your iPhone at the fraction of the cost.  Roughly around $120-$180 for the whole setup; minus the iPhone of course.  Oh yeah, the fisheye is included when you purchase the OWLIE by the way.

I guess that skating the quarter pipe wasn’t enough for Damian, so he decided to move the funbox up onto the deck making it an extension.
