Potrero Skatepark – San Francisco, CA

After paying a $4 “toll fee” getting into the city we were greeted with open arms from all the heads in Frisco for a little warm-up sesh.  (I guess heads have been keeping track of our myspace updates and knew that we were in town.  It’s always good to see that the hard work that we’ve been putting in is starting to get recognized.)  From what we were told Potrero Skatepark is one of the first skateparks to be built actually in the city of San Francisco.  All of the other parks are within it’s surrounding areas like Berkeley and Alameda.  This spot has a downward slope to it enabling you to catch some pretty fast speed to hit the transitions and huge airs (if that’s your thing).  Unfortunately for us we aren’t too smooth with that transition shit.  Ledges all day son!  Gabriel was the one killing it here cause he’s the one out of the crew that can skate about anything.  The best part of the park for us was probably hitting the Euro Gap.

Skate Or Die

We’ve been friends with our buddy here, Timmy Jak, for the daaaays.  It’s been about a good couple of years since we’ve last hung out in SF together.  (I think the last time we were up here was on a rooftop somewhere in the city at 4am?  Haha.  *Wink*)  So it was definitely a welcoming surprise to have him come out of his daily schedule to show us around town to skate and get footage.  Thanks for the hospitality homey!  (More to come to this 3 part series later this afternoon around 4pm.)
