History Channel’s Extreme Trains “Ice Cold Express” Episode
March 14, 2009 | Filed Under Graffiti, Videos | No CommentsI guess that we caught our first National Television debut back around December (BGP’s aka BackGroundProps to be exact) on the History Channel of all places and we didn’t even know about it! Let me give you a brief history of how this all even came about…
Back around the summer of 06-07′ish (Cinco de Mayo) , CHEW, HUCK and I decided to drop an end to end with a festive Cinco De Mayo theme to it that had some Simpsons characters, a full background drop and our names filled with colors of the Mexican flag. We were bored of stamping out the same old shit and wanted to try something new, just to spice things up. “Mr. Coordinator” over here had to come up with all the colors, some sketches of characters, and an artistic vision that had to be laid (sprayed) onto a freight. So after getting all the necessary supplies we went to go handle our biz…in complete darkness! Needless to say the execution was at a C average due to bad lighting and to top it off, we forgot to bring our trusty ol’ digicam to take photos of our wonderful masterpiece.
Fast forward to the present date, the good old History Channel debuts with a television show called Extreme Trains that is hosted by some lurk named Matt Bown. The show basically airs each Tuesday with anything and everything you need to know about trains. On the episode entitled “Ice Cold Express” our good old Cinco De Mayo freight shows up….in the background! Shortly afterwards, thanks to wouldpkr on Flickr we find day pics of both CHEW & HUCK’s photos except for RICKS. Weeaaakk…
