Glendale High School – Glendale, CA

On any given weekend you can usually find alot of the Skate All Cities crew members warming up at Glendale High School right before skating other spots around the LA area.  Glendale High is usually our “meeting point” to hang out, shoot the shit, and see where we want to go to next.  Alot has changed with the construction of this school from the first time we’ve found out about this spot back in the early 90′s to it’s present state now.  The school currently has 2 bumps, along with a 4 stair stage, and a combination of various ledges from the 6-12 inch range.  These ledges are fun only if you skate fast so don’t expect to slide if you’re going 1mph, otherwise you’re going to be sticking on them the whole time.

On this particular weekend, alot of us started off the day a little late and ended up skating Glendale High til it got dark.  While we were dorking around and skating some of us were able to film a couple of lines or two, while about most of us were eating shit left and right trying to land some godamn basics, including yours truly.  I guess that it was just one of those days.  Either you’re on point or you’re not.

Randy Chew down below is the hessian out of our clique.  He’s the one out of the crew that will take you out on the biggest rails and hugest sets of stairs and will pull it off with style.  You might not have seen alot of footage of him through our website except for his last COTW but he rips and just recently got off a 6 month injury so it was nice to catch a little skate session with him.  If you check out the clip below it looks like he still has his Bluntslides on LOCK and he doesn’t even smoke weed!  Hahaha, get it?  BLUNTslide, Smoke Weed?  Nevermind.  Wamp Wamp…

You can’t see them from this photo but there are 2 bumps that can launch you off pretty high in this photo.  If you don’t believe me you can watch Gabriel’s Clip Of The Week last February where he Frontside 180′s a trashcan in a line using one of those bumps.

Nate Van Dusen is responsible for filming, editing, and producing a video for a local skateboarding shop by the name of “Non-Factory” here in Los Angeles.  The movie was called “Big Trouble In Little Tokyo” and featured alot of Skate All Cities members.  You might have already seen Gabriel Martinez’s video part on our Youtube Channel over  HERE.  You guessed it, it’s the same video part out of the DVD.

Remember how I was mentioning that everyone was eating shit skating that day?  Well Jimbo over here was trying his Switch Frontside Blunts (Which he landed) and then decided to step it up with a Switch Frontside Bluntslide to Flip Out, to Slam.

Then it was Damian’s turn to eat shit on a trick…

Broke his cellphone while he was at it.  SUCKED…

After skating around for a couple of minutes, everyone decided to take a rest and chill out until we got our coordination together.  It didn’t help that we were still drunk from the night before.  (Note To Self: Don’t party hard and try to go skate/film the next day.)

After everyone had enough, we all decided to play some basketball.  Needless to say, it was a definite reminder to us all that we are currently out of shape and don’t have a shot for the life of us.
