Here are some photos from the MSK/AWR artshow entitled “Send Lawyers, Guns & Money” that happened this past weekend over at the CANVAS gallery in Los Angeles. (We would have had this blogged earlier during the week but I was waiting on someone to shoot me the second part of the photos to the event cause my camera battery died in the middle of shooting photos. Go figure.) Even though this was an MSK/AWR artshow, we were surprised and happy to see a bunch of Skate All Cities followers out there hitting us up to sign their blackbooks, shirts, and even a purse! (More on the purse thing further down this blog entry.) One person even came all the way from Arizona to check out the show. By the time that we arrived, the line to the venue was pretty ridiculous with people rubbing their uglies next to each other all the way towards the end of the block. Thanks to CockySpice we skipped all of that nonsense and had the “hookup” to walk in non-chalantly, VIP status, with first dibbs on the FREE alcoholic drinks compliments of Transphusion and Skyy Vodka. BOOYAH!

Out of all of the pieces that were on display I was really interested in seeing what the LA street king ZESER had in store. He is one of the very few artist(s) that have stayed “low key” in showcasing his art throughout galleries as well as refusing to paint legal walls, so to see a canvas piece by him in an art gallery is surreal and a treat in itself.

Remember how I mentioned earlier that we autographed someone’s purse? Well this guy by the name of “Sea Monster” kindly approached me while I was shooting photos and asked me if I can sign something. I was expecting a blackbook or something, but it ended up being a purse! It was either his girl’s or friend’s purse? After chitchatting it up for a quick minute we parted ways and he kicked down a couple of his slaps and mentioned that he follows the blog on a daily. Good looks killah.
