5 Pointz, located out in Long Island/Queens, New York, is a H-U-G-E abandoned factory that spans a full city block covered in nothing but legal graffiti by artists from around the world. I guess that this is the so-called “touristy spot” to hit if you’re ever out in the NYC area, but you will need to get permission from MERES (the curator of the building) before you can paint anything. Thanks to the homegirl ECHO, we were able to set something up without the hassle of an appointment.

Here’s something that recently happened that was pretty random and tragic at the same time. If you look at the photo below, the huge staircase that leads up to the top floor of the building recently collapsed while a woman was on it! It’s been all over the news (via NY Post) and word has it is that our wall caught BGP’s (BackGround Props) all over the television networks!

Right as we were applying the finishing touches to our pieces, we all parted ways and began finishing off our east coast trip in other cities. One of us went to skate FDR in Philly, another was on his way to Boston, MA. while HUCK & GASH decided to stay in town.
