Guy Mariano x Epicly Later’d (www.VBS.tv)

If you’ve been following our Twitter & Myspace status updates then you know that I’m currently out of town in Boston, MA at the moment.  During the meantime, you should check out this 10 episode documentary of one of skateboarding’s greatest, Guy Mariano.  I remember the first time witnessing the skateboarding talent of Guy Mariano through a Nickelodeon television show (Hosted by Skatemaster Tate) called “SK8-TV“.  I was amazed at his ability to skateboard the mini ramp like a grown adult at such an extremely young age.  He was probably only around 12-13 years old around that time?  After catching my first glimpse of that and then watching his videopart drop on Blind’s “Video Daze”, I was hooked.

Epicly Later’d is a documentary series created by Patrick Odell which was originally intended to be a TV show based on his personal photo blog, but had eventually evolved into a online tv series through VBS.  Within a 2-4 day timespan, Patrick Odell follows Guy Mariano and asks him in depth questions about his early rise as a young skateboarder, to his downfall with cocaine & heroin drug abuse, until his most recent comeback with one of the most innovative skateboarding parts ever produced throughout his career.  Take a minute of your time, grab a brew, and just watch & learn.  Guy Mariano is THE TRUTH!

On another note, if you’re in and or around the Santa Barbara area then you should go visit an interesting artshow going down tonight entitled “Housing Project“.
