Palmer Park – Glendale, CA

We’ve been filming hard for an upcoming interview of myself and the crew members in the latest issue (Issue #3) of Four G’s Magazine lately.  They approached us about a month ago interested in creating an article on what we were all about, so we figured that this was our time to shine with our skateboarding abilities as well as our graf.  The first step in doing this was getting sequences of some of our skateboarding tricks.  (This was easier said than done.)

Our first warm up spot that we decided to try to shoot photos at was in Palmer Park located out in Glendale, CA.  This ghetto-rigged spot has nothing to really skate except for a bump over sidewalk that you might have seen in a lot of your favorite skate videos.  Danny Supa did a beefy Backside 180 Kickflip and Guy Mariano did a Frontside Varial Heel on it in some video.  Not sure in which ones since I’m not that much of a skatenerd, but you’ll know what I’m talkin about when you see the 2nd photo below.

How do we skate this thing?

Like I said before, there’s really nothing to skate over here except for the bump.  Just look at the 2 ft pool with NO transition.  Ummm, yah.  There is that 2-sided ledge over towards the left that can look pretty fun to skate though.

Look at who came out to skate with us this time?  Beto!

Bump

Actually, I take it back.  There is something to skate.  Towards the right of the basketball court are some slightly chunky ledges that you can skate if you happen to have some wax lying around in the backseat of your trunk.  Here’s another cameo appearance by the Dr. Oct with a Frontside Tailslide & Front Crooks.

Apparently I never got the “Dazzy Dukes” memo…
