P-Rod Skatepark – Pacoima, CA

Just 6 months ago in the Summer of 2009 the Pacoima area recently collaborated with professional skateboarder Paul Rodriguez in creating a new skatepark in the Ritchie Valens Recreation Park called the “P-Rod Skatepark”.  As you may or may not know, skatespots are popping up everywhere in and around California (as well as around the world) right now with replicated streetspot skateparks; like this one.  If you’re in or around the Pacoima area this is definitely one of the spots to hit.

“These…Nyjahs”

The entrance of the park is reminiscent to the Griffith Park banks.

They also got some buttery back-to-back benches to get your skate technicalities on.

The main plaza has a replicated Sylmar High Blue Handrail as well as some Hubba Ledges on the other end.

Brick Pyramid anyone?  You remember our boy Steve Cuellar dropping a Nollie Backside Heel on this right?  Yah you do.

Thats all on your kid mam. If kids go there to skate they should be skating. Its his decision to do the drugs or whatever he did. Its not because of the park or the people around it.
I have been going there since it opened and not once have i did nothing else than chill and skate there.

I don’t recommend for parents to let their kids go to this skate park. I know of experience that their is drug use and alcohol use at this park. my son was going to this skate park and had been coming home drunk from the skate park. He is no longer allowed there. but please if you are a parent and is reading this please be aware of the danger your kids could be in at the Pacoima Skate park.
