Writer’s Block – San Diego, CA

After painting Qualcomm (with about 6-9 heads deep) we were on a roll and wanted to paint some more, so we stopped at a spot called the “Writer’s Bench”.  This spot had about 10-12 walls to legally paint.  You can kind of think of this as the Venice Beach of San Diego.  (Walls get crushed almost hourly which is a bad thing, not a good one.  Not before long your shit will get written all over by toys.  Horrible.  In fact, our shit is probably dissed right now!)  With our leftover, green bucket paint from our last VIMBY segment we stopped by and killed what was left along with some cheap blacks for shadows, white outlines and a Rusto Red for a shell.  While we were there we also benched some of the local artists that were already up on the walls.  Hope that you enjoy.  After catchin’ this spot it was back home to the City of Angels!

Bench Sessions (12/29/08)

It’s been a minute since we last had a “Bench Session” blog entry.  We have a shitload of photos but are too lazy to grab them out of the harddrive, optimize them for web, upload and all that mumbo-jumbo.  But today we bring you nothing but tags and monikers on trains from our yard that was benched recently.  If you’re wondering why some of the tags in the photos have years dated back to 1996, um well… it’s probably because they have been running around that time sucka!  Do the math, freights = landmarks for days…

Bench Sessions (08/27/08)

About a week ago we posted our first ever blog entry entitled “Bench Sessions”. This is basically a blog entry of all the freights that we catch in our yard. Unbiased benching. Bench Sessions (08/21/08)

Occasionally I will stop by the yard and bench some freights. This is something new to the blog that I’m adding. It will be filed under the “Bench Sessions” category. (Just look over towards the Categories section on your right.) This category is basically all of the freights that we catch out here in Los Angeles, California. It’s going to be “unbiased” benching so this means we’ll be posting everything that we see whether it’s dope or not.
