SAC: What crews do you push and what are their underlying meanings?
SHERM: First and foremost, WGS – We Got Skills. OTP – Obey The Pussy. LAHC – Los Angeles HardCore.
SAC: How did you come up with your name and what’s the meaning behind it?
SHERM: I was young, probably about 16 when I started tagging. My friends at the time, they were taggers too and we were tallking about drugs and shit. Different types of drugs because we were so into doing drugs (well actually, just weed, acid, shrooms and speed were a big deal to us) and it was fun and new for me. My homie at the time wrote “WHEB” and he wanted to change it to “SHROOM” which I wanted to take for myself because I was into drawing mushrooms and shit and it sounded so cool at the time. Hahah, damn that sounds so stupid! Anyway, I somehow ended up with “SHERM” and they told me what it was – a joint laced with PCP or some shit. I really liked the sound of it, the letters flow really well together, so that’s what I ran with…SHERM. If I ever have a son, I would name him “Sherm”. Fo sho.
