It’s almost near the end of our trip out here in Barcelona and I can’t believe that we’ve already been here for one whole month. (I swear that time is flying by faster than ever lately, especially when you’re having fun.) During our last days in Barcy we found some time to “put in work” before our departure. Remember when we met these dudes last week? Well they were nice enough to take us on a ride to an abandoned building right by the beach located somewhere about an hour away from the center of Barcelona and this is what we came up with.

You probably have (or haven’t) heard too much about RIPO before but you will soon if you live out in the Bay Area because he’s currently working on an artshow that he’s set to have out there during the following months. Located on the top of the hills of Barcelona near the center is a metal-ledged spot reminiscent of the Chinatown Ledges located in Los Angeles (RIP). Skate All Cities had a chance to venture out that way and catch a little photo or two with our Barcelona tour guide, Max Frion while enjoying the beautiful weather.

Skate All Cities also stopped by a random spot the other day to close off the session. It’s the same bench that Torey Pudwill Switch Heelflipped over in his “Big Bang” video. Jesse Silvey chills with the kids and spectates…

Don’t ask me how in the hell I came up with “Guitar Hero” as the title for this blog entry today, but I thought that it was appropriate since this monument that we found while lurking around the streets of Barcelona looks like one. Jesse Silvey Kickflips his way into his own beat.

While Lucas goes for the rollup and Boardslide back down.

Lakai (Europe) Max Frion and Jesse Silvey head to the local grocery store to charge up on some fruits and it’s onto the next spot.

Pretty Sweet

I’m sure that you’ve seen Torey Pudwill’s “Big Bang” video last year on Thrasher right? Well remember when he Frontside Smith Grinded this huge, waist high bar on top of some kind of bridge in Barcelona? (You remembeeerrr.) Well, Skate All Cities stopped by this spot just the other day to measure up exactly how high that beast was and we came to the conclusion that Torey truely does have pop on his stuntwood.

Jesse Silvey tests out the hip with a picture perfect Nollie Backside 180 just for warm-ups.

Ohyah, I forgot to mention that the bridge also has another side to it with a smaller rail to hit. Making a guest appearance on our blog for the first time is Chocolate pro Jesus Fernandez with a Backside 50-50. ”Good peoples tio.”

At the same spot are these marble step-up ledges which looks alot easier to skate in video than in person. The ollie up to the curb before hitting the ledge is probably the trickiest part because it makes for a quick setup.

And then Jesus took it upon himself to do this monstrous, waist high Switch Crooked grind to take the MVP Award for the day. That was an awesome experience skating with him that day, I thought that it was Pretty Sweet.

Letting The Kids Play

Alot has happened over these past couple of weeks out here in Barcelona and it’s been an unbelievable experience thus far. Unfortunately for you we couldn’t (or didn’t) document every single moment that has passed, but we’re just going to have to leave it up to your imagination on that one. Picture all the partying, exploring, skating and painting that you can do within a one year span bundled up into one single month out of the year. Yah, we’re getting pretty burnt out right about now, but we’re still going to try to keep you updated on everything as much as possible so stay tuned.

With an abundance of spots scattered all over Barcelona and no real tour guide to show us around town we decided to stop by the Sants area and try our luck with seeing what we can find. Upon our arrival we found this little gem, a Metal Hubba that goes down about 33 stairs? (You go ahead and count them.) Jesse Silvey strikes his best pose for our “Poser Of The Month” photo that we plan to send over to Thrasher.

Since I’ve been juggling photo and video camera duties you’re going to have to visualize this next spot that I’m going to explain to you. You see that dinosaur head monument over there towards the right? Well imagine it being three-headed with tongues sticking out made of metal that also serves as banks that you can skate on. Mr. Silvey was able to catch a couple of clips that day so you’re just going to have to wait and see when we release them online as a “Clip Of The Week” in the near future.
